Luskville Falls and Laurriault Trail

The Nature Group of the RA Photo Club organize several field trips each year, and this spring we went to two familiar locations in Gatineau Park: Luskville Falls and the Laurriault Trail and associated waterfalls. Unfortunately, it was a dry spring, and as a result, there wasn't much water coming over these falls, but it was a fine day and a good opportunity to get out in nature. Aside from the falls themselves, I found many interesting details in the surrounding landscape.

Taken during a relatively dry spring, this shot doesn't show as much water flowing as is usually the case.

Lots of light, ripples in the surface of the water, and a colourful creek bed made for an interesting shot

I find trees fascinating, especially shots like this one that shows the roots struggling to find soil in a rocky landscape
