Foret La Blanche

I visited Foret La Blanche with a friend in the summer of 2016, and boy was it hot (+34 C)! It was also quite sunny, which generally isn't ideal for landscape photography. Nevertheless, we persevered and I came away with a few shots that I liked. This is one of my favourite locations because of the variety of subjects available. In view of the heat, we didn't plan to stay long and concentrated on getting to the boardwalk and waterfall features of the park. I've visited this same park at different times of the year, and you can find some of these photos on this website as well.

Reflections in water are infinitely facinating and provide a soft backdrop for this fallen tree.

This driftwood next to a lake called out for a wide angle shot to place it into context with the lake and clouds.

I framed this shot so that the line of the boardwalk aligned with the lines of the clouds overhead.

I see faces in everything, including this driftwood which appears at rest and enjoying the sunshine.

The position and shape of this stick was perfect in this detail shot of a small stream among the rocks.

This waterfall was only a few inches high and barely made a murmur within the quiet of the forest.
