Ottawa River Walk
The parkland along the Ottawa River is a wonderful local venue for long walks (with or without a camera), cycling (for most of the year), and skiing (in the winter). There is a mix of natural and urban features to suit most tastes. It was a typical January day - very cold and overcast with a light snow falling. Ice had formed on the Ottawa River, although on this part of the river there is enough flow that the central part of the river is ice-free. Where the cold air and liquid water meet, fog would form. While I trudged along with my camera, skiers would pass me by, either individually or in small groups of friends.
