Shirley's Bay
This was my third visit to Shirley’s Bay, having previously visited in June 2017 and early December 2017 (before the snow). This time there was snow and the river had frozen over, creating a completely different environment. It was a beautiful cold day with scattered clouds. While there was lots of snow, it wasn’t so deep that walking around was difficult, and thick ice on the river meant that it was quite walkable too (and drivable by those that were ice fishing). I arrived at early afternoon and spent part of the day photographing on my own, but eventually received a message on my phone that enabled me to link up with my friends that were also prepared to brave the cold, and from that point, we travelled as a group. We shot until the light was failing.
