Ice fishing is a popular sport during the Ottawa winters. Here, I've chosen a wide angle view to emphasize the landscape (and the distance of the fishing huts from shore)
The shore edge is a harsh environment for trees, and this one seems to have little life left.
You can drive on the ice in the winter (and if it's thick enough, you might make it back to shore).
The angle of the sun serves to highlight the ski trails in this shot.
Gold and blue is perhaps my favourite colour combination. Here, there's just enough sun left to highlight the grasses while the snow reflects the blue of the sky.
