Reflections are fascinating, whether the medium is water, glass, or ice. Here, I was intrigued by how the strong lines on the boat were altered by the water.
There were several boats in dry dock that were in need of repair that presented ample opportunity to look for interesting abstracts. The blue/orange combination caught my eye in this one.
A setting sun and slight breeze combined to add glitter to the water, and a passing boat entered the perfect position for this shot.
Another boat in need of repair offered up this abstract, where lines of colour on the left are balanced with a strong shape on the right.
Rust and old paint are great subjects for photography, and this shot has some of both.
