Ottawa River and Mud Lake
It had been a very, very long time since the photo club to which I belong could hold a group Nature outing. Thankfully, vaccination, and cautious public behavior, restored a measure of pandemic control. It was thus with considerable excitement that I attended this long overdue outing. The chosen venue was a familiar one to those in the Ottawa area: Mud Lake. Also known as the Britannia Conservation Area, this is a wetland with a rich abundance of flora and fauna. Equally interesting is the picturesque section of the Ottawa river immediately adjacent. Unfortunately, another commitment delayed my arrival until the afternoon. That, and a preference to photograph mainly the river, meant that I missed the group. Even so, it was a beautiful day that I thoroughly enjoyed. It seems that there is always something new and interesting to discover in this area!
