Ottawa River and Bate Island
With the arrival of April, I decided to enjoy some nice weather and the melting of the snow and go for a walk. My route took me along the Ottawa River with a small detour to Bate Island. For the most part, my path was clear, but patches of snow remained in shady areas. Mounds of ice blown by the wind also still dominated spots along the river, particularly on the windward side of Bate Island. It was a beautiful day with wispy clouds that were a joy to include in my photographs. Deciduous trees were still bare of course, but their time is coming soon.
