Experimental Farm

The pandemic has played havoc with photo outings organized by the RA Photo Club to which I belong. There were only a handful of such outings last year. This year's first outing was organized by the club's Urban Group. But they chose a somewhat un-urban setting: the Central Experimental Farm. About 18 club members participated. The farm comprises 427 hectares (1,055 acres) of open space near downtown Ottawa. It is an active research centre and is also a wonderful recreational resource. A friend and I had agreed beforehand to explore the farm together on the outing. As we did so, we had a mix of heavy overcast, light rain, and snow flurries. But we're used to such weather and still had a great time.
