Shirleys Bay Greenbelt

Ottawa is blessed with extensive green space throughout the city. One such area that I visited briefly last year is slightly south of the Shirleys Bay park area that I know well. I had been wanting to return to that part of the greenbelt and was very happy to do so with the friend with whom I made the first visit. The day was beautiful but unusually hot with a temperature well above 30 C. This set a new temperature record for the day. Even so, we encountered many others enjoying being outside. Some were riding bikes, others were hiking, but we seemed to be the only photographers. That's a shame because the area is full of photographic opportunities.
