South March Highlands Conservation Forest

South March Highlands Conservation Forest is in the western suburbs of Ottawa. It is one of those obvious places that I had somehow never visited. On hearing this, a good friend who had been there several times suggested that we go there together. This is a large site with a variety of terrain. Used by both hikers and mountain bikes, it offers trails ranging from easy to more challenging. With the limited time that we had available, we only covered a tiny fraction of a couple of the easier trails. It definitely warrants return trips, especially since it is right within my own city. I had both my visible light and infrared cameras with me, and I took some shots with each. Mostly I concentrated on details. I'm looking forward to exploring further in future visits.
