Limerick Forest
With the arrival of nicer weather, a good friend suggested an outing to Limerick Forest. I've been to Limerick many times over the years. While there are several parts to the forest, our favorite venue is the area around the Interpretive Centre. This is reached via Limerick Road, near Oxford Station, about 45 minutes South of Ottawa. It was a beautiful day. There was a little bit of new growth, but for the most part, the branches were still bare. I tried a few shots with my infrared camera but wasn't having much success. So I quickly switched over to my regular camera for the bulk of the outing. As I often do, I went looking for interesting details that spoke to me of the forest environment.
