Morris Island Conservation Area

Morris Island Conservation Area is about a 50 min drive west of Ottawa near Fitzroy Harbour. I had been there a couple of times before, but a friend of mine had not. Knowing that, I suggested it when we were discussing where to go together. The island overlooks the Ottawa River. There are 6 km of well-marked trails within this 47-hectare site. It's a great location for anyone who appreciates woodland and waterfront views. I didn't see any other photographers besides the two of us, but there were many families enjoying the trails and waterways while we were there. Having been there before with a "normal" camera, I took my infrared-converted camera on this trip.
