Mer Bleue Conservation Area
I've been to Mer Bleue Conservation Area a few times over the years. Most recently was last year with an infrared camera. It comprises 3,500 hectares in Ottawa's southeastern greenbelt. It is best known for its fantastic boardwalk through the bog that occupies most of the area. But it also has hiking trails and picnic grounds. When a good friend suggested an outing, I recommended Mer Bleue. He had never been there and I was eager to go back, so it was a win for both of us. I wanted to get more experience with my 100 - 400 mm lens and new Nikon Z7II, so that's what I shot with the whole time. We did the loop around the boardwalk and then walked along Trail 53 from P22 to P21 and back. The weather had been unsettled that week but the day we picked was beautiful. It was a great Fall day to be out with a camera.
