Little Italy and Environs

The Urban Group of the RA Photo Club organized an outing to Ottawa's Little Italy neighborhood. About 20 club members participated, and many of us gathered for lunch afterward. Little Italy is slightly west of downtown and just north of the scenic Dow's Lake area. It is home to many Italian restaurants and a focal point for Italian culture and festivities. A light rail transit line and the building site of the city's new hospital are nearby. The area is close enough that I could walk to the outing from home. I found many interesting subjects to photograph, including another club member who volunteered for a shot (thanks Bob Acton!). Alas, rain was forecast for the afternoon, or I would have lingered for more shooting after lunch in the afternoon. As it was, I just made it back home before the downpour started.
