Photography road trips are a fun way to spend a day. Often you end up in places you've never seen. Invariably you find interesting things along the way. And you get to spend quality time with good friends. A pal of mine suggested a road trip through some of the townships east of Ottawa. We had a rough idea of driving as far as Hawkesbury along Hwy 17. Along the way, we passed through Clarence-Rockland, Wendover, and Alfred. At Alfred, we made a side trip to the Alfred Bog, which my friend had read about, but neither of us had seen. That turned out to be a hidden gem; similar to, but shorter, than the boardwalk at Mer Bleue. It was a beautiful day and a great day out with my camera.
