The Nature Group of the RA Photo Club organized an outing to the Mackenzie King Estate. Located in nearby Gatineau Park, the estate was owned by Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King. It was bequeathed to Canada and is now a national historic site. The estate is known for its gardens and the ruins that King collected and assembled on the grounds. It also features trails that have a collection of waterfalls for the Nature lover. I wandered the area with a friend and I concentrated on the ruins and the waterfalls. For the waterfalls, I made use of my neutral density filters to slow my exposure and blur the flowing water. Afterwards, we joined fellow club members at a nearby restaurant for an enjoyable lunch.
