Each year, the RA Photo Club runs a friendly Nature competition. It is called the Pierre Gauthier Fall Challenge. It was recently renamed to recognize a longtime member and Nature enthusiast that sadly passed away. In 2025, the Mill of Kintail and Blakeney Rapids, both near Almonte ON, were the chosen venues. I carpooled with a friend and we selected the Mill of Kintail to visit first. This turned out to be my most productive area for photography. After lunch and some photography in Almonte, for which I've included one shot, we then headed over to Blakeney Rapids. The main feature there of course was the fast moving water. I, like probably everyone else, used this as an opportunity to make some blurred water shots.
