Stoney Swamp trail is one of the National Capital Commission (NCC) trails in the Ottawa area. The NCC maintains an extensive network of these trails that are all heavily used. The Nature Group of the RA Photo Club organized the visit to the Stoney Swamp trail. I was one of about a dozen members that attended. We were greeted with overcast skies and intermittent snow showers. Naturally, I wanted to do something a little different, so I set up my camera for infrared. I chose my IR Chrome Lite filter, which basically blends blue and infrared light. This mimics the look of old Kodak Aerochrome film, and I wanted to see how this looks in a snowy scene. I'm quite happy with the results.
