A friend and I wanted to do some shooting together and decided to make a visit to Upper Canada Village, which is just outside of Morrisburg, Ontario. We had both been there previously, and in my case I've visited several times at different seasons, although not for almost five years. We had a very good day, arriving shortly after opening, and leaving not too much before closing. The village depicts life in the 1860's with a wonderful variety of locations and very skilled and dedicated reenactors. CLICK HERE to see some of my photos from that outing.
It was a rainy and blustery day, which had us sheltering in the buildings from time to time, but we still managed to tour almost the entire site (which is quite large). I decided to concentrate mostly on details using my 105 mm lens, although I managed to find a few interesting landscapes too. This is a venue that you can visit again and again and always see something that you never noticed before. Needless to say, I hope we visit there again before long!
